90 days to greater peace

This is a timely and profound invitation from the Melbourne-based Calm Collective. 10 minutes at 9pm EST, to bring our minds and hearts into a collective experience of peace, for ourselves and very much for our world. It started on 14 June with gathering each day for 100 days. The depth & sincerity of our benevolent intentions will more than make up for a loss of time… “Start where you are,” is always exquisite spiritual advice. After all, where else can you be but where you are!

Join (when you can) the meditative gatherings of the Calm Collective every evening for 100 days starting from this Friday 14th June, 2024, 9.00 – 9.10pm, until 21st September, 2024.

The format will be very simple for these daily gatherings: a simple written intention provided at the beginning for all to hold; a visual to focus the meditation for 10 minutes; a new intention to be posted on the first day of every month; an email will be sent a couple of days before.

You can join in either of the following ways:

1) type in tiny.cc/100daysofpeace into your browser which will take you straight into the Zoom meeting

2) or in Zoom, enter the Meeting ID: 950 6415 547; passcode: calm

Does anything matter more than making this life we share a safer and more peaceful experience for ALL?

Northern Territory Writers Festival

27-30 June 2024

So excited to be participating in this very special Writers Festival in the city of Darwin. My session is “Taming the Tempest” which I presume is about surviving with some joy and vitality intact in an increasingly demanding and sometimes outrageously unjust world. I will be drawing on Your name is not Anxious, and the facilitator is ABC Radio National’s Dr Meredith Lake (host of Soul Search).  9.30 am Sunday 30 March. Visiting Maleny, Queensland

I’m not always brave enough to introduce myself when I visit an unfamiliar bookshop, but I was so impressed by the stock, layout and friendliness of Rosetta Books that I wanted to say hello, speak to the excellent Manager – and have this photo taken.

You can find Rosetta Books on Maple Street in person, and via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064843894874
