Koya-San Japan 24 Oct – 2 Nov 2008

Restore your Spirit in Koya-San, Japan  24 October – 2 November 2008

This is truly the trip of a lifetime! Ten days in one of the most exqusite places on earth. Koya-San is the home of mystical Shingon Buddhism and is a World Heritage town high in the mountains a few hours from Osaka by comfortable train and cable car. The tour dates have been chosen especially to enjoy the glorious autumn colours of the high mountains foliage. This trip is a feast for the senses – and for the spirit.  You can join us in Osaka from anywhere in the world to combine a truly inclusive spiritual retreat with workshops on Shingon, practical talks on meditation and peaceful living, creativity and “”present moment”” attentiveness.  There will also be lots of time for daily walks and excursions, and plenty of socialising with like-minded people. We will stay in exquisite authentic temple lodging.  Some single rooms are available. Stephanie Dowrick is leading the retreat and is supported by William Suganda with whom she has worked a number of times.  William speaks Japanese fluently and teaches easy tai chi so beautifully you feel as though you have been doing it for years.

The tour is organised by Centre for Continuing Education, University of Sydney.  For more information, please contact ccetours@usyd.edu.au
