Women with secondary breast cancer

Sydney 3 March 2008

Parliamentary Theaterette
Parliament House, Macquarie Street

This is an exceptionally useful and accessible programme.  Please advise any women you know for whom it may be relevant – or your local GP. Support can make a very significant difference to the wellbeing of each woman and her support network.

As part of the “”Harnessing Hope, Overcoming Hurdles”” programme for women and their support people – run by Breast Cancer Network Australia and the first of its kind in Australia – this very special event will be held in Sydney.  It will include information on the latest  medical research from Dr Fran Boyle, a talk about BCNA, an introduction to the “”Hope and Hurdles”” programme and the beautifully produced and supportive information pack, as well as a talk from Stephanie Dowrick on maintaining wellbeing, and lunch.

After lunch Stephanie will run an optional hour-long workshop on easy approaches to self-supporting meditation.

The events and the workshop with Stephanie are FREE for the woman and one support person, but bookings are essential.  For more information, to book for either event or to find out about similar events in other centres, please email beacon@bcna.org.au or call BCNA on 1800 500 258.

Stephanie Dowrick is proud to be an Ambassador for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
